Get Fit for Your Toyboy!

Ladies, would you like to be slimmer and sexier for your toyboy? Do you want to feel 100% confident in your LBD?  Would losing a few pounds help?

Gentlemen, would you like to feel toned and taut for the gorgeous woman in your life? Is your jelly belly causing you concern? Are you looking for some belly busting advice?

What are the small things you can do to make a radical difference? Try out our seven slimming secrets before your next date.

1. BE A CALORIE PESSIMIST

Why We all vastly underestimate the amount of calories we consume. Even healthy foods have calories. It’s easy to follow a healthy diet but it’s not quite as easy to eat reduce our calories. Did you know a typical grande latte has over 200 calories in? It’s a whole meal in itself!

How Read labels on foods and work out how many calories you are taking in with every meal. Don’t be fooled by labels that claim low fat or sugar free, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t fattening. Give the JanePlan team a call and we’ll work out your Metabolic Rate for you and give you an idea of how many calories you need to consume each day to lose weight.

2. FOCUS ON YOUR GOAL

Why Research suggests that having a strong reason why you want to lose weight and focussing on your goal, can help keep you on track.

How Imagine how you want to look and feel on your date – slim and sexy, taut and toned – and keep this image in your mind, or even better, write it down. If you are ever tempted to indulge in a chocolate brownie or packet of kettle chips, remind yourself of what you are trying to achieve and this will help you keep on track.

3. TRY CADRIO FASTING

Why Cardio – fasting – performing an aerobic exercise session such as running or cycling for 30 – 45 mins in the morning before a morsel of food has passed your lips – has been a closely guarded secret of athletes and celebrities for many years. (Apparently Madonna is an advocate). According to the British Journal of Sports Medicine cardio – fasting could help speed up fat loss.

How Change your evening gym session to a morning work-out. Set your alarm one hour earlier, get up and get out. But don’t be tempted to overeat when you finish, as this will offset the benefits.

4. CONSIDER A CARB CURFEW

Why If you have just a few days left before you meet your date then try cutting out the carbs. At JanePlan we always advocate a healthy and balanced diet, however, cutting out the carbs does have an almost instant effect and can be very effective in the last 48 hours before a hot date.  You will feel less bloated and your tummy will be tauter.

How Focus on consuming a protein breakfast like yoghurt or an egg, choose soup for lunch and a light supper such as grilled fish or meat. Avoid pasta, potatoes, rice and bread. And, no alcohol…yes, it’s a carb!!

5. DETOX YOUR SURROUNDINGS

Why The old saying ‘see food and eat it’ is 100% true.  We eat with our eyes, not our stomachs, and therefore if your favourite foods are visible you are more likely to eat them.

How Clear out your cupboards and throw way all tempting treats. If you have an affair with the bread bin, don’t keep bread in the house, if you’re more of a biscuit person, ban them from your shopping bag.  Keep your fruit bowl full and fresh and make sure you have plenty of snacks like M & S crudites in the fridge. And don’t forget to detox your diary too. If you’ve got a big date coming up – don’t go out the pub with your friends in the preceding week – it will be too tempting to have a glass or two.

6. WALK FURTHER AND FASTER

Why Walking is a great way of getting fitter and more toned, and it burns calories too. A person weighing around 200lbs will burn overa 100 calories on a 15 minute walk. Indeed walking is set to become the fitness trend of 2011 with former aerobics queen, Jane Fonda, releasing a walking DVD, and the launch of Walkfit from British Military Fitness.

How Take the stairs not the escalator; park at least a 10 minutes walk from your front door; get off the tube one stop earlier; keep your trainers in your handbag or brief case( wearing trainers helps you walk further and faster); buy a pedometer and set yourself daily goals.

7. WRITE IT DOWN

Why Writing down what you eat and drink helps you become aware of your eating habits. It also helps you feel in control and can bring about changes in your diet. It might seem boring, but research suggests that those who keep food diaries are more successful in losing weight.

How Keep a note book with you at all times. Tuck it into your jeans pocket or handbag and write down everything that you eat and drink. It’s easy to forget the little things if they are not written down, but they can make a big difference when it comes to losing a few pounds. Don’t write your diary at the end of the day, do it as you go along. This way you will be less tempted to pop a tempting treat into your mouth.
