A weekend away with him
You can date a guy for ages and never spend a weekend away with him,
or, you can both go away when you are just getting to know him, and so
it was with an Englishman – Mr Martini – I met recently.
Last weekend I went to stay at his place in the English countryside.
Arriving at a tiny little station in the middle of nowhere, I had a
heavy bag – well a girl’s got to have a few outfits to change into –
and I was bringing my share of the drinks. Mr Martini had tutored me on
the concoction of dirty martinis and I was sure that cocktails would be
prominent on the weekend menu…
